These editions explore the ambiguous relationship between words and images as sources of meaning, and often integrate autobiographical elements. In form these prints balance photographic material with drawings or accidental marks as a reference to concepts also held in balance; concepts like the known and unknown, structure and chaos, public and private, word and image, nature and nurture, or mind and body. My themes often include the insufficiency of language to communicate personal experiences, retain memory, or express grief, joy or mystery.
